Doctors at Essendon Family Medical Clinic complies with the Privacy Act 1988, which includes communicating relevant information with other treating doctors, specialists or Allied Health Professionals, including the way we collect, store, use & disclose health information. Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

Email Policy

Essendon Family Medical Clinic allows patients to contact the clinic via our email address, however, in an emergency please contact triple zero (000). The clinic does not store data from people who are not current patients. The clinic does send private patient information to their private email. Before any confidential email is sent, the patient is first phoned to discuss about their information being sent and their current prviate email address checked. Upon these confirmations, the patient is sent their private documents via Essendon Family Medical Clinic's verified email.

Phone Calls

Phone calls will be triaged by our experienced staff and a message left with the doctor to return call. Please make an appointment to discuss health concerns, results, referrals and other non urgent matters,please request that records of your visit to other health professionals are made available to your own doctor.
